Company Background

In 1981 Gianluigi Galizzi founded Argomm in Villongo (Bergamo), a company producing molded components in elastomer.
Gianluigi Galizzi combines his excellent technical skills and his international contacts with his determined personality. His wife, Chiara Argenti, was involved in the company activities from the outset.
The group’s history is relatively short and yet consolidating businesses on a global scale in just 30 years. Production process and technological innovation, continuous improvements, open-mindedness and familiarity with international scenarios together with short decision processes resulted in a long-lasting and successful company culture.

Company Story

2013 – Thailand based RPS TECHNOLOGIES LTD plant in Bangkok and US based RPS TECHNOLOGIES INC warehouse and commercial office in Dayton, OH acquisition. RPS manufactures gaskets and rubbermetal parts for breaking systems as well as wiper blades and relevant compounds.

2008 – Argomm-Ro, the new plant in Timisoara, starts with serial production of technical elastomer-based components.

2006 – Acquisition of Promag, a company focusing on permanent magnets. Opening of co-design supporting office to customer engineering in Stuttgart, Germany. Argomm expands its headquarter location by building a new logistic center.

2005 – Armoltec relocates its operations in the "Parc Industrial" of Granollers Montmelò, Greater Barcelona area and few meters away from the F1 Catalunya race circuit. The new Ar.Form plant is opened.

2003 – Armoltec Barcellona merges with the Cauchomotor group consisting of three companies specialized in the production of products in elastomer. Argomm is awarded the certification ISO/TS 16949:2002.

2001 – Argomm is awarded the Environmental certification UNI EN ISO 14001.

2000 – Plastic Division relocates in its new headquarter in Sulbiate, Greater Milan area. Argomm is awarded the Standard QS 9000 certification and the automotive turnover exceeds 50%.

1999 – a second production plant in Spain: Armoltec Sur in Andalusia is inaugurated. Ar. Form acquires Sebino Stampi.

1997 – acquisition of Plastic Division: this company is active in the sector of design and construction of moulds and molding of products in thermoplastic, liquid silicon rubber and dual-component items.

1996 – a new production plant in Spain: Armoltec SA, close to Barcelona; this company produces sealing rings and distributes the product on the Spanish market; In the meantime the factory premises in Villongo are extended to 3700 sq.m.

1995 – foundation of Ar. Form: a mechanical workshop for the production of moulds.

1994 – acquisition of KCS GmbH: a distribution company.

1990 – acquisition of Emmebi : production of small series of technical items.

1989 – new settlement on a 7000 sq.m. site to combine the existing facilities in Villongo. The group employs 60 people and uses 22 presses, with a turnover of 20 billion lire (10 million euro).

1988 – acquisition of Fin-Mec specialized in finishing processes: the company improves the production cycle.

1983 – Oritec was founded: it is a company dedicated to the production of o-ring and uses injection presses that induces the conversion of the production process.

1981 – Argomm was founded (following the initial experience in 1979 with Arga): this company was dedicated to the production of small series of customized technical items and products in rubber plus textile
